Zipline, how does it work?
The groups of up to 12 guests are fitted with climber harness, line wheel and carbine hooks, 2 guides accompany each group.
The ski lift takes us to the starting point for the different runs, where the guides provide further information.
During the Zipline runs, the guides provide the guests with an Ecotour, meaning that they talk about the history of Åre, local wildlife and fauna. One by one we then take on the Ziplines.
The tour last about 2 h for the lower runs, and 2,5 h for the upper runs.
How much are the runs?
The upper run, the VM6, is 600skr
The lower run, Fjällgården, is 500skr for adults and 18-14 years is 350skr
If I become too afraid, is it possible to abort the activity?
-If you feel uncertain about Zipline, we suggest that you start out with the lower runs.
-If you have booked the upper runs and have zipped one run, you need to take on the second run as well in order to get to the right side of the ravine.
I am pregnant, can I still Zipline?
-We advice pregnant persons to check in at the Spa/Holiday Club
What run to choose?
-The lower runs are 50-100 meters with a lower age of 8 years
-The upper runs are 250-350 meters, demanding a bit more courage and a minimum of 15 years of age

Is booking obligatory?
-Yes, the Zipline need to be booked in advance, drop-in is possible if the groups are not full
-A group consist of max 12 guests and 2 guides
What are the opening hours?
-You can Zipline when the ski lifts are open
-For groups, the activity is possible after the ski lifts close
What is the duration?
-Depends on the size of the group but usually 2-2,5 hours
When do you cancel a run?
-When the ski lifts are not running
-In case of lightning
Is it possible to go only on the first line?
-No, we only do guided tours on all four lines
-The Zipline tour takes about 2-2,5 hours
Why must I sign in?
-Name and a signed health status is mandatory
-A valid insurance is mandatory
-And when you sign in, you might as well fill in your address to take part in a lottery with fine prizes!
What is ICE?
-ICE is short for “In Case of Emergency” meaning if everyone adds an ICE in their cell phone with the number to the next of kin, any contact in case of an accident/illness is simplified.
What type of equipment do you use?
-Mammut is our supplier of security equipment
Is Zipline safe?
-Yes it is safe. The lines are inspected on a daily basis by the guides. Also, independent inspections are made at certain time intervals.
-But, as with all outdoors activities, there is always a risk associated with the activity.
What is your cancellation policy?
-A cancellation less than 24 hours in advance requires a certificate of illness
-If not showing up, a full payment is drawn from credit card
-Camp Åre reserve the right to cancel/change tours due to circumstances out of Camp Åre’s control
What to wear?
Summer time
-Hiking boots or similar, the walks between the stations can be tricky and wet.
-Weather dependent clothing
-No back-packs or bags
Winter time
-The same outfit as for skiing (NB No large jackets, they will not fit in the harness)
-Ski boots are exchanged for warm boots
-No back-packs or bags
